Program managers can now obtain an internationally recognised credential that recognizes their knowledge, experience and skills. The Project Management Institute (PMI)® launched their Program Management Professional (PgMP)®. The PgMP® credential recognizes those practitioners who are responsible for the coordinated
management of multiple, related projects that advance organizational objectives and strategic goals. Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)SM
A Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)SM credential for specialists in project risk management is now available through the Project Management Institute (PMI). The volatile business environment, intense competition, corruption and pressures to
complete projects on accelerated schedules are some of the reasons why qualified risk management professionals are needed on project management teams.
As projects become more complex, global and virtual, the project management profession continues to grow and diversify. This growth is the driving force behind the need for a specialized role in project scheduling. The Project Management Institute (PMI)® offers their Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)SM credential which acknowledges an individual’s role to provide unique expertise on the project team, while recognizing the value this role provides to the field of project management. ProjectPro® offers 2-day preparation workshops for doing the PMI-SP exam which may be taken at
Prometric Testing Centers in South Africa. For those not intending to sit the exam, the workshops will be an invaluable source of scheduling best practices. [more info]

an introductory course such as Project Management Demystified prior to the MS Project, but this is not essential. [more info]
